SHORT TERM TRAINING IN GIS
The Department will offer short term courses/training in GIS for officials of departments of Local Self Government, Agriculture, Forest, Water Resources, PWD, Town planning, Harbour Engineering, Fisheries and Autonomous bodies and NGOs for effectively using the tools of Geoinformatics for planning and implementation of their projects. Geographic Information Systems are powerful decision-making tools for any business or industry since it allows the analyzation of environmental, demographic, and topographic data.
